Designing a garden that suits all your needs can be a bit daunting. Here is some information that provides how we work to allow us to be able to provide the best possible outdoor area that suits all your needs
A Landscape Designer is equivalent to the architect or builder of your home. An outstanding garden adds up to 15% to the value of your property so it is essential that a realistic budget is available for the installation of your landscaping.
This is where we meet and look at your site and discuss all your ideas and any ideas / suggestions that we think are suitable. We will look at your preferred styles of gardens, the architecture of your house / business and any requirements you have for entertaining, children and pets and anything else that might influence the overall design. At this meeting we will give you a written estimate of the cost of a garden design and approximate estimate of installation.
For commercial gardens we address design processes that attract potential customers to your business.
Fee: $250 including GST
Payment: on completion of consultation $250
A comprehensive site evaluation will be carried out including soil testing. Any features and levels not indicated on your plans will be added. A concept plan will be prepared according to your design brief. This will be the starting plan for your new garden and it will show all the hard landscaping such as paving, paths, decking, water features, retaining walls and soft landscaping areas. The plan will be drawn to suitable scale for the size of your area.
Fee: $80 / hour including GST
Payment: On collection of concept plan
Another meeting takes place to discuss any changes you would like made to the concept plan. Plants are selected according to your preferences and suitability. A final Landscape Design is completed. A planting schedule is prepared showing all plants selected, their size and cultural notes. An estimate and a time line for installation are also provided.
Fee: $80 /hour including GST
Payment: On collection of final plan
This will include all costs to complete your landscaping. The time line will show you the different stages and when the garden will be completed.
Installation will be completed according to the provided time line.
Fee: Estimate of completed installation
Payment: A part payment may be required at stated stages on
timeline depending on the size of Landscape.
